sharpshooters aren't underpowered at all, though we are missing a few keys skills. i do just fine, even against sm. you mostly need great aim and learn what is best for what class. generally your best chance to win is when you knock your opponent on the floor and never let him/her get up at all. by the time everything is done, they should have little to no hp left. that works on 1v1. for group, it's best to use AOEs more due to some of them ganging up on you, or stay as far as you can and pick off some of those runners. bit of a tip, when they start running, don't just give chase, but use frag shot, magic arrow or tumble shot. those skills travel far and kills sometimes. i done it before and saw it connect from halfway across the bridge in the valley.

sharpshooter is a weird pvp class because ALOT hinges on your ability to aim. The same can be said of any class, sure. But you have to be highly accurate with twin shot and especially your two tumble skills - twin shot is your bread n butter skill for flinching, knockdown after flinching, harassment and combos. Your tumble skills will pretty much stop anyone in their tracks if they hit. If you can connect with these skills every time you will dominate, but a string of misses will put you on a slippery slope.
The other thing you need to learn how to do is flinch and knock people down, because sharpshooter combos are ground-based. And the concept behind that is simple - to knock someone down, hit them while theyre flinching. Easiest way to do that is tap them with twin shot after you cause a flinch with another skill. Another thing you can do is use stunning shot after a flinch and then rip them with charged shot (stunning shot wont work if they have even the tiniest bit of super armor on so generally it wont work if theyre in the middle of a skill.. hence the most reliable way to use it is during a flinch) hope that helped |

1v1, and group, at the 24 cap SS are better than acro at midlevel skill. At higher skill, i think acro will outdo SS for 1v1, but SS will still win on group.
once acros get a lower cd chain tumble, and a few of their key skills, they will become much more powerful, and once SS get ankle shot, and guided arrow, and a few skills, they will become much more viable. |
