Going back to Maplestory...?

Hey, I was thinking about going back to maplestory. My friend and I are both going back and we both decided to start fresh with a new character.

Which server do you recommend? There are a couple of new ones called nova, chaos and zenith fyi.

I think I use to play on yellonde with my friend but the population there is literally dead. We originally decided on this server because we thought that it's probably better for just the two of us. However, it was too dead that it felt like we were in a ghost town or something. Not really fun :P

So, I don't think I really want to play on the first server I played on, I think it was windia. That server is way too populated now I hear and has way too many hackers KSers trolls and such.

Well, what I'm asking is which server has a decent population. Not too little but not too much. A good place for casual gamers (I don't want to be surrounded by people who spend 2 hour+ grinding to 200 super fast while my friend and I are still 20 >.>) with little hackers and a friendly community. Not too much inflation etc.

Btw, does this mean new servers are good for new players? The economy there is just starting and not many people are very high leveled yet. However, people can character transfer so that means a lvl 200 can transfer over right? I'm just worried that a bunch of trolls from windia would transfer and ruin the new server or something :P

People can't transfer into new servers until 3 or 4 more servers come out after that "new server" has been released. Personally if I were to start again I'd go to Scania as I'm super caked in that server, but if you're looking to start fresh, either go where you have the most friends, or go to a semi-populated server. I don't like new servers as they tend to die really fast and finding a party and stuff can be hard. TBH Maplestory is one of those games that you need a solid friend base in order to increase it's staying power, otherwise you'll just drop it.

Go with Bellocan. Decent population (not too much and not too little players). Not much hackers as well. I don't know about the community there.

As for Chaos, it's pretty empty but there are really nice players there. and less hackers than Bellocan.

Yeah true. I don't really remember anyone anymore. I intend to play with my RL friend over the christmas break.

How empty is it? I want a server to have enough players to have a stable marketplace and enough to do start parties and such. I don't want too much where you can't even grind decently on the lowest populated channel...

Most of the new worlds are empty. Why not just start on one of the old ones?

Also, if you want a stable marketplace and enough parties, then go with Bellocan. Since Chaos is pretty empty. Not that empty but you won't find what you're looking for there.

I played on windia and it was not like it was 5 years ago...

Anyways is bellocan a populated server?

Also, I know that bera windia and scania are the first 3 servers or something. Can't remember but I know that these are the most populated servers. Correct me if I missed other populated servers.

I think I'm going to join a populated server. However, which one would be best for a noob that is starting from scratch?

Go with Bellocan, it's populated but not as populated as the older servers. It's the most populated new server if that's what you want.

Alright. Right now I've decided to go with either Bellocan or Bera. I was reading through some recent threads and most said Bera. Some people said bera even if they were from windia and scania etc too..

Pros and cons of each? :P

No clue, I only played on Broa and my friends play Bellocan and Chaos now. Sorry, can't help you there.
