I don't get it - why does everyone say Clerics' kicks are good?

I've read a lot of posts about kicks for Clerics are OP and broken etc...but I don't see what is the big deal. Maybe it's a PvP thing? I don't PvP much...but in PvE at least I can't see that kicking is overpowered.

Could someone care to enlighten me?

No, kicks are TERRIBLE in pvp. It's all for pve. Only paladins should get it, and only if you built for physical. This is because paladins don't get many offensive physical skills and if you look down the guardian skill path for paladins, you'll see what I mean.

Thing is, Physical Paladins (or Guardians) pretty much have no choice. The Physical skill tree consists of mostly Blocks, Counters and such. Their best DPS skill would be kicking with 50% animation crests on. Kicks are also surprisingly useful against bosses that cannot be knocked back.

Theyre basically good because - Steady DPS. High Stun/Flinch chance. and No CD. Have both herladies/crests, and you'll be doing the "Hurricane Kick"

Well, no, not exactly broken. How else are Paladins supposed to deal damage...?

We can't party all the time and sitting back isn't fun cause no one needs tanking in regular Abyss maps.

It's not broken at all, it actually loses effectiveness as later content is released, it's more useful in the lowest levels. But with that being said I THINK it is considered the highest DPS single target attack, due to how fast/often you can use it with both animation crests.
