Lightbox image resizing

As opposed to what we have now, which is auto rescale, click box to open in new window etc etc.

oh man this resizing pisses me off. judging from my knowledge of ~*psychology*~ it diverts the attention of my signature's readers to click the resizing bar, as opposed to clicking the actual sig which would lead them to my guild's thread. i'm sure many people had the idea of putting images in their sigs as captivating link redirects but that plan is kinda squashed with the resizing system.

Actually, you're right, I clicked the bar instead of your signature.

Lightbox is normally setup to only apply to images in posts.

i guess i temporarily averted the crisis by trimming the fuck out of my sig. it was like 1.5x bigger before, this is like the 3rd time i edited it. i know my sig is to a degree intentionally obnoxious and that a size limit must be in order but i feel like the one we have now is much too strict.

hope this gets implemented!

Without sounding rude, but if your sig was kept to the board limits, it wouldn't be resized. We may have size regulations for sigs that compared to other communities, you consider strict, but they are in place for a reason and they won't be changing unfortunately.

A lightbox modification required a user to click an image for the JS to execute and present the image in the 'lightbox', that doesn't eliminate the issue of hyperlinking.

I'll consider the modifications and browse vbulletin.org. I won't lie, this doesn't sit at the top of my priorities so it may take some time. The boards will be undergoing some structural changes once the OB of NA and SEA have passed and things calm down.

i couldn't find the restraints on image sizes actually...but i guess i figured it out by finding another user's signature who managed to bypass image resizing and stole the dimensions.

Okay so what's the image size limit on posts? Because I have been trying to figure this out so I can make it look more appealing without that resize bar getting in the way in my guide. I edited my thing like 3 times now and still no go. I know there's gotta be a ratio because when I resized it the 3rd time, it looked clearer and cleaner, but it still had that bar that asked if you wanted to view fullsize.

Yes I did a search, but it only spoke of signature sizes which is 400x100, search also lead me to this thread.

EDIT: I decided to remove some words on the image to make things easier, but would still love to know the limit of the restriction applied.
