Enhancement Probability Guide

Just looking at DNArmor and I was able to gather this information.
Hopefully it's useful for players who plan on enhancing their gear. : )

100% Success Chance

80% Success Chance

Item to +5
60% Success Chance

Item to +6
50% Success Chance

Item to +7
45% Success Chance / 25% Break Chance

Item to +8
40% Success Chance / 25% Break Chance

Item to +9
35% Success Chance / 25% Break Chance

Item to +10
30% Success Chance / 25% Break Chance

Item to +11
25% Success Chance / 25% Break Chance

Item to +12
20% Success Chance / 25% Break Chance
Failing can result in losing 1-2 levels.

15% Success Chance / 25% Break Chance
Failing can result in losing 1-2 levels.

Pretty sure this is only accurate for some tiers of items. Epic items can lose levels at like +5/6 or so.

EDIT: Can't you still lose lvls for epics/blues for 7,8,9,10,11...

The % chance of success changes based on item quality, in addition, DNArmory also doesn't have 100% accurate information.

For example, epic items can degrade from failing sub level 9, but it doesn't show it as such.

It's inaccurate and it would be so much better in a table like form like excel

Greens (magic) have a chance of decreasing levels after +9, while blues (rare) can after +7.

Yea alot of this is false. I've used Armory for a while, one thing i've realized is that even though its an organized DB it can still be wrong. Like it doesnt mention enhancing blues can downgrade +7-8


By the way does anyone here have experience enhancing epic equipment, one of my friends said he's upgrade 10 items to +8 and none have broke. Anyone care to share their "epic" enhancement stories? 10 +8s and 0 failures really makes me think that its impossible to break going to 8. Anyone?

Enhancing my Ancient Greatsword at +4/+5 and dropping back down to +3 for 2-3 times. Other than my weapon, I have good experience with enhancing the armor pieces.

Yes I did not go into this thread with great detail. You can go down in Levels on Epic Level 5s and Rares can go down at 8.
