Dragon Nest Source has implemented it's own currency - Coins! Every user is given the opportunity to acquire coins through various forum activities such as posting and receiving positive reputation.

What are Coins used for?

Coins are Dragon Nest Source's currency and therefore must have a valuable use. Treasure your coins as they will act as your gateway to enter competitions and win some pretty cool prizes to help improve your character. Dragon Nest Source will frequently be holding drawings and raffles to win Nexon Cash and other items, both virtual and real, to help improve your game.

How do I earn Coins?

Earning Coins is easy. You are rewarded for simply being a Dragon Nest Source forum member. Activities such as starting new threads, replying to threads, reffering members and starting polls all earn you specific amounts of those all important Coins.

Below are the specific amounts earned for each acitivity:

Referral Credit - 10 Coins
Applied when a referral is validated. This is checked every midnight.

Birthday Credit - 10 Coins
Applied at midnight on the birthday of each user.

Activity Credit - 10 Coins
Applied every set time period if the user qualifies as having been active during that period.

New Thread Credit - 5 Coins

Posting Credit - 2 Coins
Applied for all valid posts, except when creating a new thread or replying to your own thread.

Received Reputation Credit - 1 Coins
Applied when the user receives reputation. Can be set to multiply against the amount of reputation received.

Tip: Posting helpful answers in the Questions & Answers forum is an easy way to earn Coins from reputation credit.

Spam Infraction -10 Coins
Those believed to be spamming the boards to increase their Coins for contest entry will have 10 Coins removed per post that is marked as Spam.

Dragon Nest Source will also be holding events, using Coins as prizes and runner up prizes.

At this exact moment yes, But they will be in use soon,
At the other source they have a weekly raffle now.
And before that they had like a 10 or 20 dollar giveaway during the holiday seasons,

Stream is exactly right, you need to spend the time now collecting them as during the BETA phases and just before, I push raffle events to increase board activity. Stay tuned.
