Which engineer sub class is better in PvP

I don't know anything about academic but I think Gear Master should be better at PvP. I don't have any reasons to back up my opinion but I just think they should be because I've seen lots of PvP videos on mostly Gear Master.

They're about the same, with Shooting Star slightly better when there is no summons (in theory). But if there are summons then its probably Gear Master

Ping pong bomb Ex is great though for group battles. it hits up to 11times if there are 3 targets around, i love aiming it at relics and other summons.

It's hard to say which class is better. But I can say Shooting Star is easier because of Ping Pong Bomb EX and Splash Shot. PPB Ex does amazing damage whilst Splash Shot is relatively easy to aim.

As a Gearmaster, you need to have good timing and aim to be able to set up for Super mecha duck. Since it has a charge time (it's basically like an Elementalist's fireball with no superarmor), it's easily interrupted if you use it incorrectly.

No Academic skills are blacklisted but I always avoid using towers in balanced 1v1 matches to keep people happy. Most people tend to get frustrated if towers stop their combos or if the Academic just sits behind their towers all match.

Either way, it's always difficult to find someone that wants to 1v1 against an Academic in balanced compared to other classes. People's perception of them seems to be fairly bad right now.
