Can I run DN?
Dragon Nest Minimum CPU:Pentium III 1.6 GHz RAM:512 MB GFX:Radeon 9550/Nvidia 5700 HDD:4 GB DX:9 With today's CPU's,you'll of course break through the recommended 2.0 Ghz Dual core, but have something above that like an Intel Core 2 Duo or an Athlon II X2 series CPU and you'll be fine.I found my Pentium 4 (3.06 Ghz/w Hyperthreading) being stressed out even at low settings, but it worked.Keep in mind that if your computer only has 512 MB of RAM,this is bad because your Operating System will most likely chew through it along with your opened processes.1 GB would be a minimum for me seeing that it ran pretty darn well, but I'd recommend 2 GB's and up.I'm not advertising Newegg's AWESOMELY GREAT ITEMS!!! ....but Desktop RAM/Memory goes for like 30-40 dollars for 4GB's.Who doesn't have 4 Gigabytes of space on their HDD?If you don't,clear some space of course.Your graphics card will of course determine how well your PC can keep up with the game's settings at this point. Here are a few cards that may cut it.X3100(If it can run crysis with 2-12 FPS,your ok.) Nvidia Geforce 6800 Nvidia Geforce 7800 GS(AGP) Low Nvidia Geforce 8400 GT Nvidia 9500 GT ATI Radeon 9550 Low ATI Radeon X1600/Tested/Medium ATI Radeon HD 2400/Tested/Low ATI Radeon HD 4200 These are low-end cards, but a few on the list may have been a mainstream cards in the past so they most likely will have a better chance at pushing the settings. The higher the number does not mean that they are more powerful.Usually, heightening the numbers just means the card will be worse than it's predecessors with a few tweaks. If your going to buy a graphics card, make sure that you know the bus type on your motherboard. There's AGP,PCI and PCI-E(Express).PCI-E is currently being used,so you'll have a wide selection of to choose from.As for AGP users, you'll probably find it a pain in the rear to find a cheap card saying that it's outdated. It's like digging through a pile of size 12 shoes, when you yourself wear a size 20.You'd be better to upgrade instead of using the money to buy a card that won't really last and most likely will bottleneck(Slow it down) your PC. I recommend: Newegg.com - HIS H467QR1GH Radeon HD 4670 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100293L Radeon HD 5570 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card From my standpoint,if your on a Dual core with 1.8 ~ 2.6,these cards would benefit you. They for one, pair with the CPU strength ensuring you smooth gameplay. They also run current gen games with no problem. Both will max out DN of course. Hope this helps. Dragon Nest taxes more from your gfx card than anything,so have a nice card, adequate RAM and a decent CPU,then You'd be able to Max it no problem. If you need any info on your system, feel free to reply.I,along with the people of DN Source will of course be willing to offer a helping hand. ~Take Care,Tori/Divide~ Athlon II X4 @ 3.0 Ghz/Zotac GTX 460 768 MB/4GB G.Skill Ram/500 GB HDD/550 WT PSU P.S,Watch out for those IGP's(Integrated Graphics). The one's in Desktop's are usually there as place holders,so don't think that it'll run everything you throw at it.Choose your laptop wisely, for you cannot change a card out in a Laptop like that of a desktop unless your pretty good at "Soldering".If not, then consider getting an external graphics card or possibly just building a new PC seeing that those things are a heck of a lot excluding the card itself. Ah, how unfortunate... there's no "Was this post helpful?" option for the first post in the Q&A section. I hope you don't mind settling for a + from the scales.

^ _ ^ Heh,Ty so very much.I see a lot of people ask about the requirements for this game and if they're PC's meet the standards,so I felt the least I could do was give them a bit of help.I did a bit of research on several cards along with benchmarkings and tests of my own hardware at times.

I'm not quite sure where my graphics card scales on this list, but i know it isn't high.
ATI radeon xpress 1250. It's the card that came with my computer 5 years ago, so i know it ain't too great. but, paired with a 2.80 ghz dual-core processer and 1gb of ram+1gb of readyboost, Will it work? |
