Blurry Text?

Problem has been solved, thanks for the help folks. Hopefully this will be helpful to others in the future.

Can't get the Nexon forums to work for some reason and I figure this is as close to technical support as there is on this site so...

I'm having an issue with the text in my game. I've tried various things to resolve it including drivers/resolution/windowed mode/deleting the closed beta's config files... nothing wants to work. This was not an issue with the closed beta and I honestly can't figure out what has changed since then.

Here's an example of what I am talking about at native resolution 100% zoom:

It's just so annoying that I really can't be arsed to squint my way through all the quests until this gets fixed.

Everything else in the game looks normal to me.

Nobody else having this issue? I've been messing around for days trying to fix it... I am using the latest drivers for my Radeon HD 5770, the Catalyst 11.7 release (11.6 had the same problem). The game is playable, but it's aggravating trying to read some of this stuff and I am a little frustrated since nothing on my end has changed since closed beta where I did not have this issue.

maybe clean your contact lenses with a cleaning solution

I got this error when messing with the Catalyst Control Center. I was trying to get a better graphic experience by forcing the AA and AF just to find that it's useless if you put them at max. (at max you get that blurry effect).

Anyways, this are my setting at the CCC. This is the only way I can run DN without the blurry effect.

Notice that "use application setting" are checked in AA and AF.

Was your blur text only? And I have the same settings in CCC... maybe I'll try fiddling with the Catalyst AI settings and possibly Rivatuner.

my brother has the same problem and is the cause for his unmotivated-to-play feeling. I want a solution to this as well.

what is your anti-aliasing setting? multi-sample?

Yeah, I have AA on multi-sample.

I did some more fiddling and it looks like I missed one setting from your screenshot. I had the Catalyst AI set on performance. Not sure why, but that seems to be the cause of the problem. Putting the slider on 'Quality' or 'High Quality' fixes the issue and the 'Surface Format Optimization' checkbox made no noticeable difference.

Really makes a huge difference on the smaller text at 1920x1080.
