This is an attempt to make the Q&A section less cluttered and provide useful information. If you have a question, try to use crtl+F to search for it or just scroll through the whole thing, you might learn a thing or two.

EDIT: I organized things into neat little spoiler tags. It should make searching easier, unless you are trying to use ctrl+F. You'll just have to open all the spoilers sorry!

Spoiler: Crafting related questions 

When crafting, will I lose the enhancement on it?
No, if you have a +8 weapon you want to craft, it will still be +8 afterwards.

My crafted weapon procs on a normal attack. What counts as a normal attack?
Whenever you attack with the left mouse key only.

What should I craft my gear into? Brutal? Windswept?
For magical classes you should get intellect gear. For archers, you should get windswept and other physical classes should get brutal (unless you happen to have 2k+ crit, then it might be better to get a windswept weapon). This will give more points into your main stat, increasing your damage. If you find yourself struggling a LOT to survive, consider getting the gear that decreases damage by a percent for a few seconds.

Why does someone else have the same crafted gear but the effects are better than mine?
Crafted gear effects get better every enhancement at +8 and higher. This is another good reason to get blue gear over green gear.

I'm level 24, should I use green or blue gear (or epic)?
Short answer is: green if you are poor and blue if you have money to spare and epics only if they are over +8 (a +9 epic could cost the same as a +12 blue, but the blue is much better).
Long answer is: it depends. Here are the key points to consider, but ultimately it is up to you.
-Blue items have higher base stats and have better potentials (eg much easier to get +max hp% on blue than green armor).
-Green items are much cheaper.
-The stats added by enhancing are virtually the same.
-Blue and orange equips can be crafted for better stats.
-Getting 2 or 3 pieces of the elf queen set (epic gear from minotaur nest crafted from horns) gives a nice stat boost, very costly though
-I might make a more complete guide on this later

Now I'm level 32, what gear should I get?
The same general rules outlined above apply here too, except this time blues are a lot more costly. Getting +8 greens is just as cheap and easy as getting a +1 blue at the moment in NA. This is because average onyxs are very hard to come by and are very expensive. It might even be wise to keep a +12 level 24 weapon over a +9 and under blue weapon to save money since the stats are about the same.

What is the best title?
Currently it is "almost won the lotto". Just go to your page of titles, click on the collection tab up top and the right page tells you the title you need to collect for it. Hardest one to get is the scrooge title which needs 1000 gold. There is an unreleased title that is easy to get and there are many guides on it already. Here is just one of them:

How do I make my weapon glow?
When you enhance a weapon to +7 or higher, your weapon starts to glow. At +10 or higher it starts to glow even brighter, with a small trail of light behind it and blue 'streaks' behind it when you swing it. At +13 or higher your weapon starts to glow red and it leaves red streaks behind when you swing it.

What potentials should I get?
Here are general outline of the stats you want to aim for for each item, in order of importance. I will not list every combination, but you can check it out at the link I gave in the beginning of the FAQ. The reasoning is that you want as much hp as possible for tough dungeons like minotaur nest. For classes that are heavy on using elemental attacks (priest, ele, mystic, magic paladin) the 8% boost to elemental damage outweighs the 5.8% damage on rings and weapons since it also increases fixed damage from skills.
Armor: HP% > main stat > MP% > everything else
Weapon: Element%(if applicable to class) > phys or mag damage% > critical% > main stat% > everything else
Necklace: HP% > main stat% > MP% > everything else
Rings: Element% (note, very hard to get on blues, fairly common on epics) > phys or mag% > critical% (very rare, only on epics) > main stat% > everything else
Earrings: HP% > main stat% > MP% > everything else

Spoiler: Marketplace/money questions 

Help! I can't list anything on the market anymore!
You can only list up to 30 items a week, it resets on Saturday.

What are the market fees?
1% of the cost when you list it, and another 3% of the cost when sold.

What advantages do the market pass give?
-Your items show up with a gold border and appear first in a search
-Listed items can now stay in the market for 24 hours
-Fees are reduced by 50%

How do I make money?
Biggest question in any mmo by far. Puru does a nice job answering here: Tips on making some money!

Spoiler: Nest related questions 

When do nests reset?
Every Saturday at 9AM PST, same time fatigue resets.

How do I get the entry passes for minotaur nest?
Bunnies at the end of any level 16+ dungeons on abyss (though sea is different at the time of writing this).

Will I waste a nest run if I fail to complete it?
No, but you will waste the seal to get in. You can leave at any time before the blue bar show up at the end of the dungeon and it will not count towards your 7 runs a week. People farm the powders that drop there in this way.

Spoiler: Geode and comet dust questions 

What are geodes?
Used to directly enhance something to the level specified on the geode. There are two types, spiral for enhancing one level higher (eg you have a +6 item and use a +7 spiral to get it to +7) and vortex which upgrades directly to the specified level (eg +0 item to +7). Note: geodes only enhance a specific rarity, enhancement level and equipment type (eg +7 blue headgear spiral geode). They are very expensive to buy, so unless you want to keep a specific item, it is better to enhance normally.

How do I get geodes?
1. Extract upgraded items to get geodes, sometimes you get comet dust. These factor affect ho much dust is extracted: enhancement level, item rarity, and item level. Extraction is truly very complex and I will not go into much more depth than that. Btw, level 23 items are bugged and aren't worth extracting.
2. Korin sells pouches for lots of comet dust. There are tabs to the right of the shop window, click on the last one. The pouches give a random geode between +7-10 for a random equipment type. There are also +11-14 pouches that need sun powders to purchase, but they are only found from extremely highly enhanced items and not worth the hassle.

Spoiler: General pvp questions 

What gear should I get for regular pvp?
The only gear that matters in pvp are the effects from crafted gear (eg brutal) and your skill plates (eg 20% more damage on X skill). Enhancements do NOT affect anything at all, same with enhancement plates.

What gear should I get for ladder pvp?
Here is when stats from equipment count. The most important thing to focus on here is getting as much HP as possible and make sure to use a good weapon.

My opponent appears to be teleporting/walking after I know I hit them!
It's lag, and it's fairly common. The distance between each person to the server, how crowded the server is, each player's connection strength, and server unstability all contribute to lag.

Spoiler: Item farming questions 

Where is the best place to farm crude onyx?
Sanctuary Nexus on masters is pretty much the unanimous answer.

What about average onyx?
They are rare to find and can only be found on Saint Haven dungeon abyss modes. Domain abyss is best because it's fast to clear, and has many mobs to kill.

Where should I farm crude diamonds/rubies etc?
Astral lab on abyss mode because it's fast and the chests at the end have a chance to give a random luster. (Any dungeon level 16-23 on abyss will work, lab is just faster).

What about average ones?
Same deal as average onyxs.

Where do I farm epic sparks?
Any dungeon on abyss mode. Usually dropped by the minibosses. Lab is recommended for crudes due to the speed and the fact that there are two minibosses in it. Domain is good for farming average epic sparks.

What does str/agi/int/vit add for my class?

How much more damage do critical hits do?
It's a 1.25 multiplier to your damage and it goes through defense! So on a monster with high defence you may find yourself doing up to 2x your normal damage. Currently, level 32 monsters need a crital stat of 6000 for a 95% crit chance. The links go to a more in-depth analysis of criticals.

What does crit resist do?
If you were to get hit by an attack that would normally crit, through some unknown calculation with your crit resist, there's a chance to cut the damage it would normally do (instead of a 1.25 multiplier, you get a 0.35 multiplier, ouch!). These resisted crits will still have "critical" show up, but in white broken letters instead of red. Very few things have high crit resist, only some future nest bosses.

What does the paralyze/paralyze resist stat do?
Whenever you get hit by an attack and it flinches you, your paralyze resist stat determines how long you're flinched for. Vice-versa for your paralyze stat where you will flinch a monster the higher the stat is. Note that attacks that cause things to stumble/tumble/stun/knocked down will not take paralyze into account.

What is the "final attack" stat and what does it do? Should I get it?
It increases every attack by a percent. The lower the level of the target, the more of a damage boost you get. The boost you get increases exponentially, so you need a lot of final attack to get a noticable difference. Currently you are unable to get enough final attack to make it worth it. The calculations are complex, but there has been some testing in other versions, you can read more about it here:

Spoiler: Edge of darkness questions 

Where do I get the tickets to enter?
You need to go the correct channel, then talk to the leftmost priestess. The tickets will automatically arrive in the mail.

Can I save my edge of darkness tickets?
Tickets are sent through the mail, so if you wanted to, you could keep them all in your mail box before they expire and do all of your runs at once.

What sort of rewards are there from edge of darkness?
If you get lucky an epic plate might drop from a boss. For clearing all 24 rounds, you get to kill a duck that will drop the skill poochum strike.

What do I do with the crystal I get from the atrium?
You npc it.

Spoiler: Dimensional bunny/key/fragment questions 

There's a bunny at the end of the dungeon when I do abyss mode, what is it?
If you don't have a dimensional key, it will only drop gift items for NPCs. With a key, the bunny will drop dimensional fragments. They also drop minotaur nest tickets in level 16+ dungeons.

What are dimensional fragments used for?
You can take them to bailey then buy epic plate pouches with them. These pouches will contain a random superb plate of the class specified. Beware, you can't open a pouch not for your class (eg paladins can't open preist pouches) so watch out.

What is a gold bunny? Where is the best place to find a gold bunny and how do I increase the chances of finding one?
Usually at the end of abyss runs there is a silver bunny but if you get lucky, you might find a gold bunny instead (really lucky, you could go well over 25 runs without seeing it). It drops epic plates and epic resets but you MUST have a key! The best place to find one is the fastest place to do abyss runs which is valley of mourning or astral lab. The only way to increase the chances of finding one is to increase the number of completions.

How do I get a lot of dimensional keys?
You have to be in a party with a person where one person is at least 9 levels higher than another. When you do an abyss run, a key will always drop from the bunny at the end. This way you can farm a lot of dimensional fragments required for the plate pouches.

Spoiler: Dungeons and exp/rank 

How do I get a good grade on X dungeon?
Grade is determined by many factors. The most important ones are time and the number of things you kill.
-Time: the bonus varies from dungeon to dungeon, the faster the better.
-Kills: each kill gives 150 points, so for a higher grade you could go out of your way to kill optional things. This also means that abyss mode yields more points because of this, but your time bonus may suffer.
-Combos: you get points for how high your combo is when it ends and at the end your max combo gives you some bonus points as well.
-Bosses killed: pretty self explanatory, some abysses have two bosses at the end to kill, giving more points
-Party members alive: more people that survive at the end the better this will be.
-Hits taken: every time you get hit, a certain number of points is deducted. -50 for clerics and warriors, -150 for archers and sorceresses.
-Other: breaking shields, boss superarmor, massacre (killing a bunch of things at once), picking up loot, stuns, crits, breaking props (eg barrels), using spells (most spells give very little points, but clerics can use buffs and heals for 100-200 points a use)

What is the best way to get exp?
-Quests
-Board quests (convenient and gives money too!)
-PWR (+70% exp)
-Clearing dungeons fast (faster the better, ignore optional things, lab and domain are considered the fastest for grinding from level 18-26 and 26-32 respectively)
-Higher rank (SSS rank gives +35% to ending exp!)
-Higher difficulty (don't do abyss because the time and effort it takes does not make the extra exp worth it)
-Having max level characters on the same account
-Do Gobarta, it gives a bit less than 10% per run over level 24
-Parties. This one is complicated because more people = less exp per run but it also means you get it done faster and use less PWR. You can also friend everyone for bonus exp, and if you clear multiple dungeons in a row, you get a consecutive exp bonus (bonus maxes out after 3 runs). Faster runs also means more commission quests done. Better if your gear is not so great.
-Solo. You get more exp per run, but it also eats up durability faster so you'll need to town more. Better if you've got good gear.

Spoiler: Crest questions 

What are crests/heraldries?
They basically boost your stats and skills. Impression has a guide here, though the names of some things have changed around a bit.

Can I use multiple identical crests?
No. This means you can't have 4 destructive enhancements (phys attack) at the same time. For skill plates you can't have more than 1 plate for one skill, even if one is for action speed and one is for damage.

How do you earn guild Points?
You have to spend your PWR Points. Leveling up and doing the board commissions also give points.

What's Guild Storage?
Guild Storage is just basically another storage that the whole guild shares. It's a choice under your personal storage at Rupert.

It says I need permission to access guild storage, what do I do?
You got to ask your guild leader/officer to set permissions for the guild storage.

I can't withdraw anything from the storage that the other people put or I put!
There is a storage limit, so you can either ask your guild leader/ officer to change it.

Can Officers Level Up the guild?
Unfortunately no.

What is Guild Points for?
To use Guild skills and to level up the guild.

What does leveling the guild up do?
Adds more guild storage and allows more people to join.

Spoiler: NPC gifting 

Where can I find gifts for NPCs?
Most dungeons will drop a specific white gift item from mobs and chests. Green items can be found from silver bunnies, and blue gifts come from gold bunnies. The epic gifts are from trading in tickets from the carnival. If you want to know what place drops what, Remi has a nice guide here:

What benefits are there to gifting?
Sometimes they will send a gift in the mail. These gifts can be lusters, waters, or random stuff to sell to npcs.

What happens when I get 100% affection?
You get a picture added to your album. May gives a discount on her stuff, and you can NPC stuff to her at a higher rate. Bailey gives a 15% discount on plate pouches so less frag farming. The other NPCs give no benefit. I don't think this has been implemented yet.

What happens when I get 100% aversion?
Their affection for you drops back to zero.

Spoiler: Different versions of DN 

Can you tell me about the different versions of Dragon nest?
kDN (Korean) and cDN (Chinese) are the furthest ahead, and yes kDN is the one that is most advanced since it originated there. jDN (Japanese) I don't know much about but I think it's ahead of cDN.For NA and SEA (both english), they both have the same level cap right now (level 24). NA had stuff released a bit ahead of SEA, (eg mino nest, earlier OB date) but right now the content is about the same.

What version should I play?
NA is only for US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand and SEA is for everywhere else. Unfortunately, there are IP blocks so you should stick with your own region (unless you want to use a proxy, but I won't go into that since you might get banned). You can try getting into other versions, (cDN being most popular), but you'll have to look up a guide for that elsewhere.

Why is there an IP ban?
This is due to licensing issues. For example, Nexon only has the rights to publish in the countries above and are not allowed to release it anywhere else. It could also be argued that it's to reduce lag.

Spoiler: Daredevil Faire 

How many tickets does each place give?
-Gobarta: 6 tickets.
-Boss rush: 6 tickets. Sometimes a secret boss will randomly appear at the end, and if you manage to kill it, you get 8 more tickets.
-Danger dash: 4 tickets.
-Horse racing: 10 tickets, and you get a box that might give lusters or tickets.
-Treasure Run: A solo run yields 4 tickets, a duo yields 6, a 3 man party yields 8, and a full party yields 12.

Why can't I enter X part of the faire?
-Horse racing needs 4 people
-There are weekly limits on each part, similar to nests. Check it under the dungeon tab.

Will dying use up my weekly limit?
Nope, until you open that chest it won't count except for gobarta.

Where and what can I buy with the tickets?
You can redeem your tickets from Frederic right outside Daredevil Faire. You can buy potions, Lustre, Spark, and Gift Pouches, rare sparks, and epic gifts. Spark pouches may contain an epic spark. Gift pouches always contains an epic gift. There is a chance to get multiple gifts or non-epic sparks from 1 pouch.

How many stamps do I need to unbind these items?
Blue crude reset spark: 1
Epic crude sparks(crystal, diamond and onyx): 1
Epic enhancement crest: 3
Epic crude reset Spark: 2
Epic skill Crest(under level 32?): 3
Rare accesories: Depends on level and type. I think it's around 3 to 4.
Epic equipment: Depends on the equipment type and enhancement. Type order is: weapon(2 stamps at +0) > off-hand > shirt = pants > hat > gloves = shoes (1 stamp at +0). Higher the enhancement, the more stamps it takes (I don't know how to calculate the cost sorry).
Epic accessories: around 5 to 7
Epic special skill crest(eg. mino plate): 8
Epic average reset spark: 4
Epic skill plate(level 32): 6


Bailey gave me some crude binding stamps from his quest, but I can't use them?
They can only be used on equipment below level 16 which are only rare accessories as far as I know.

How do I obtain them?
There are daily and weekly achievements you can do everyday (use L to pull up your achievements).

What is the "arena mission room"?
It's the endless combat rooms, you have to stay untill it ends to "clear" it.

What do I do with them?
Once you reach Saint Haven you can purchase items with them. There is a thread that shows what's in it here (near the bottom of the first post): Faction Shop and Abyss Shop Preview

What does the dawn soul look like?

Can you tell me what skills to get for X class?
There is a section for every class, there are many skill builds and suggestion there.

HELP! I have the sp I need to get a skill, but I can't learn it!
Check to see that you have the prerequisites required to learn the skill. Also, make sure that you haven't gone over the class sp limit shown in the bottom left of the skill window.

Can I wear 2 NX rings at once?
Yes.

What is the yellow bar under every boss hp bar?
It is the amount of superarmor a boss has. Every action they do will give them a set amount of it and they cannot be interrupted unless you deplete this bar fully. You will notice some of your own skills have a similar property where you don't get interrupted unless you are hit hard. Certain skills deplete this bar faster than others, especially melee attacks or attacks that would normally knock things into the air.

If I unbind something with stamps and trade it, will it become bound the instant it's traded?
No, the receiving person will have to right click to bind it to their character.

How many characters can I create?
Four per server, 7 every day (in case you make one then delete it).

Sorceress off-hand and primary weapons are mixed up and confusing me!
Relax. The staff gives lower damage compared to your off-hand weapons so prioritize enhancing you off-hand weapons instead of your staff. Note that off-hand weapon geodes work on the staff and primary geodes on the other stuff.

Where can I get jellies/approval stamps/birds/cool clothes?
They are in the dragon vault.

How do you put an item in chat so people can look at it?
Shift click an item.

Full cerberus since it adds a fair amount of final damage in addition to main stats and vitality, but that should not be discussed until it actually comes out.
