Default Dash sideways?

So I've watched videos of people pvping and they can roll to the left/right and dash, but when I try that, I can't. How do they do it? All I'm able to do is roll forward and dash.

are you sure they are not rolling forward and then quick turning their cam sideways? Cuz thats what I do and i wasnt aware that you could do it any other way.

ah, that might be it. The video I watched was a spectator recording so that's probably why it looked like a sideways dash. Thanks

No, it's not that. When you're on spectator cam you can't see the person's target locking. Basically that means that if you walked into PvP and started spamming the 'G' key, nobody would see you turning around. What you're seeing is actually the person turning their cam into the direction that they are planning on going, and then dashing forward. This makes it look like they're going sideways, just because you didn't see them turn that direction in the first place. If they let people see target locks, it would look REALLY weird. People using the 'G' key would be SO GLITCHY. Same w/ people running around w/ 100 sensitivity.

Pressing left/right twice or holding shift won't make you DASH sideways, it'll make you tumble sideways and nothing more

Ah, thanks for the correction. I just realised my mistake after re-reading OP's post.

Happy to be of service. Every PvP match raise your mouse sensitivity by '1' until you reach 50. Then you'll be the best target locker forever.
